  •  I chanced upon this quote recently which is authored by Mother Teresa and I could not  help not to feel mushy.... of course it could mean a lot of things to anyone but to me it only means -- I AM SOO BLESSED  to the point of shouting to the whole world how blessed i am and that i have no reason to COMPLAIN even just a bit :)

On a serious note, can you imagine the physical anatomy of our heart which is just about the size of a fist yet it demonstrates a more powerful punch? Isn't it amazing that a tiny muscle inside our body contributes or is rather responsible for all the emotions we are feeling and have expressed to others?! Oh yeah i know it's not exactly the HEART which manifests all these emotions we have each day hehehe, it's actually a part of the limbic sysytem of our BRAIN, particularly the Hippocampus which make us feel. Myth has it that the heart is the seat of the emotions but the trut...

Its highly true that as you get older you get to be more appreciative of the things  you have in life especially those  things that  are  important  to you -  like family, friends, work, etc., When I was younger I must say I was somewhat passive, carefree on my attitude and dealings with these valuables of mine. Talking about family and friends, of course I loved them right from the very start and thankful for their presence in my life but really, i believe there's that turning point in your life wherein you feel you've truly matured and grown beyond your usual self  in terms of how  you  look at things and how you value and treat people, how you take in certain situations that come your way. To some people they believe their experiences have made them mature and to some they think its their age which made the difference. Anyhow, whether its the experience or the age, the point is, it has made a ...

Ohh my, i can't believe that my youngest nephew, RIGO, is going to school already! :) My patchongchong turned 5 last March and he'll gonna be starting his junior kindergarten classes at PAREF Southcrest on Monday. How cute, hahahaa! I can just imagine my blushing nephew wearing his school uniform and gettin ready for school. Haaay, am getting old because I find such reality as sweet and touching :) Waaahh! Manang Rhoda couldn't help but get teary eyed at the thought of seeing her youngest little boy getting excited for school. Starting last week, he already showed mixed anticipation and inhibition about coming to school everyday and not being able to play with his best friend and neighbor, Carlo, every afternoon outside their house.  Then, getting up early so he could go with Papa and Mama and Kuya Roji on the way to the city for school and office as well. Things are indeed taking place faster than usual these days, lol!

On the other hand, my youngest...

    Sunday, June 15, 2008 - Father's Day

I initially planned of waking up late this morning since i didn't get enough sleep for the past 2 nights but while still asleep i heard some noise inside the room made by Titet who arrived from her graveyard duty. I lazily opened my eyes and saw my good friend, Tatang from San Carlos, (who stayed overnight at our crib) rising from bed. Then I remember, ooh its Father's Day and immediately thought of calling Papa dear to say my greetings.

He picked up the phone on its third ring and he was almost laughing when he heard my voice and told me that he knew I was going to call him:) I said my greetings with i love you of course (i always tell him that and sometimes he answers back and sometimes he doesn't heheh). Then he asked me if I was going to talk to Mama when we're done talking and then I said nope,Pang this is your day so i shall talk ONLY with you, think ONLY about you today  and then he laughed again, I w...

I could never forget the very first time I saw her...i instantly fell in love with her. It was love at first sight...she was soo fragile and adorable...she was 3 years old then, Summer of 1992, the first time they came to Calatrava.

Fast forward to 2008, she's celebrating her 19th birthday today in Virginia with her mom and friends and I could not help but get nostalgic that my first love is now in the peak years of
her teenage life and will be entering her 20s in a matter of 365 days and by then i will have a 20-year old niece at the age of 30, lol! .

Fil-beth or Am-am as she is fondly called, is heaven sent to us.. She's remarkably good and she's the kind of niece that any aunt would love and proud to have - sweet, thoughtful, smart, good natured and bubbly. The truth about Tata Am is that she talks and thinks beyond her years...sure, she enjoys partying and chillin with her cliques but there's that certain "maturity and wisdom" in her which gives her an edge over girls her age....

I just got lucky that my 31st birthday falls on 090909, a one lucky date indeed. Hope this year brings luck to me too, hehehe! I had two birthday celebrations with my family - Sept 8 & Sept 9 at home. The days that followed Sept 10-12 with my boyfriend, Chris which were very private and hmm a happy one.=) and Sept 13 - onwards with my friends - from all groups by schedule bwahahahah! =) One of my BEST birthdays ever! Thanks to all of you for the greetings and wishes. Above all, thank you for being in MY LIFE. =)

My very first time to celebrate my birthday in Dumaguete. My RN workmates at NOPH, who are obviously my close friends now too, threw a small yet sweeet birthday party for me at Swan Lake Pool & Resort last Sunday, Sept. 13. It was sort of a double b-day celeb for me and Septi,(another dutymate before at the Delivery Room), whose bday was on Sept 6. We had the pool all to ourselves that night and we really had a grand time. My warmest thanks and appreciation to my INDINGS - Kerlin, Kathee, Karen & Pamy for the sweet thought. Thanks to Septi too, for coming over and her friend, Thessa.

Even if I am already assigned at the Operating Room since August, my heart still belongs to the Delivery Room hahaha! I still go there as often as I can and I still join and go with them on get togethers and gimiks. Yesterday was DR's Gen. Cleaning Day and i helped out..it was done for the POGS Accreditation or Phil. Obstetrics & Gynecologists Society at NOPH yesterday and today. Afterwards, we went to celebrate at Royal Suites Inn and sang till we dropped heheehe! The doctors gave us money to have fun due to our combined efforts to make the Delivery Room soo clean and pleasing for the accreditors hahahaa! It was also a celebration for September celebrants - Me, Septi, Jonas, Frannie, Japhet & Donna so it was a whole lotta fun. Lingaw kaau hasta mga "gulang" apil ug birit hahahaha! Singing Bee gyd 'til we dropped! =)

Iris & I celebrated our birthdays together again this year as always with our high school girls. We held it BELATED this year compared last year which was two weeks advance because we waited for our dearest AMor's arrival and her 2-month old baby boy, Baby Judah last Friday. We started at lunch until evening at Meister, Maloy's place. We really had a great bonding as always together with our kiddie meals. This time we have 3 additional babies in the group - Amor's 2-month old baby Judah, Maloy's 8-month old baby Jelo & Petpet's 9-month old Baby Zac. They're all adorable.

our newest bundle of JOY... 2-month old baby Judah Portal - Mercado. Ohh-sooo-adorable. Lami-a paakon sa nawng.=) Maauha jud pgka bahin nila Amoy & Danot hahahaa! But more man daw ka Danot, Sis! lol! =) Congrats to u both! Good job!

One of our besties, Jinkay, our celebrity friend was one of the judges of this year's Ms. CST-R held at the San Carlos City Auditorium. She came all the way from Manila just for the event, so goooo sa all out ang support sa mga gurlalooos. hehhee =) Prior to the pageant, Amor treated us all to an Italian food dinner at La Grotta Resto. Too bad, wla ko ni.join nla watch sa pageant na 'coz i had to go home and spend the night at home. =)

My HS besties visited Calatrava in favor of AMOR who hasn't visited my hometown for like 4 years coz she was always abroad. The gurls tagged along including the gurlash Carlito, our only fafa hahahaha! Out of nowhere, the thought of wearing yellow came to Carlito's mind and we all changed to yellow nahurot akong yellow top sa locker and faet ni cla kay wla na rabay uliay kuno kay give-aways nasad...waaaaaahhh! =) Cge nlng heheehhee. Buglasan Festival is a yearly celebration of the Province of Negros Oriental showcasing their products, talents, etc. Its the counterpart of Panaad sa Negros for the Province of Negros Occidental (my province hehehe) which is held in April in Bacolod City. They have the so-called Sidlakang Negros Museum Village where all the booths of the participating Negros Oriental cities and municipalities are beautifully constructed and displayed for the public to see with their corresponding products & delicacies.

The color assigned to our batch for this year was BLUE which was randomly selected by the CST-R Alumni. And it was a nice change of color after a series of greens for 2 years and black for last year. But the fun of it all was the title we coined for our batch since last year and was proudly printed in our streamer for 2 straight years now, hahaha! "Batch 1995 : The Sexiest Batch Of All Time which brought applauses, eyebrows rising hahaha & just soo much fun to us. It was our batchmate Thorax Batomalaque, who brought that surprisingly last year during the motorcade and he again brought that streamer this year during the parade although it was newly printed now hehehehe =) Our batch along with Batch 1984 were the champions in the parlor games and we received cash. It was a whole lotta fun joining all the games under the heat of the sun and sharing smiles, laughters & camaraderie with fellow Tomasians again after soo many years. =) Thank you soo much batchmates for the support a...
